Calentamiento is a project born during an artistic residency in the summer of 2021 in Sicily. A wildfire in a protected coastal area and in a bathhouse, together with the beach life going on as usual just next to them, with cocktails and summer hits playing, are the incipit of the project, the main topics of which are climate change and the consequent rise of fires. Calentamiento is foremost a reggaeton song, whose lyrics are entirely made of excerpts from the Spanish version of the Glasgow Climate Pact.
Alternating music and fire sounds, the song invades the exhibition space, already filled with smoke that reminds the viewer of both fires and clubs. In an almost burned out kiosk cocktails are served with an ice cube containing small images of fires.
